We are very happy. A spring broke on one of our doors and caused a catastrophic failure. We couldn't get our car out. We called Precision and the sent James Walker. He came quickly, was very friendly and went over everything. We had several options and ended up fixing the door that failed and and updating the other door which was on the verge of failing. Price was decent. Would hire them again, definitely.

Precision makes good garage doors, and I would recommend them. However, one of the parts they use, the door handle/lock combo, is cheaply made, and was never particularly easy to use. (Our garage door is manual.) The keys that come with it are also cheaply made, and sure enough, yesterday one broke off inside the lock. Result? It cost $350 to have the garage pried open ( luckily we could do that..) and then the very nice tech replaced the lock. I immediately went to Ace to get new, stronger keys made. But the actual lock, though brand new, is still not easy to use/insert a key. But it works…Precision needs to upgrade this part.

They replaced my old garage door that was at least 25 years old with a new one and the service and communication was excellent. 6 months later I found the door to be a little bit creaky and loud and when I called them they were out the next day to adjust and lubricate it everywhere so that it's back to perfect. The service is excellent, there's no other way around it

Our garage door stopped working many months ago. We don't use it for our car, so we didn't prioritize fixing it. We had someone from another company come out to give us a quote, but they didn't seem to diagnose the problem correctly. Our technician took the time to really investigate the issue, looking carefully with a flashlight at all of the connection points in our garage. He capably and clearly explained our options for repair and the associated ballpark ranges for how long certain components were expected to last. This helped us to repair the necessary components of our garage door assembly without added cost. The technician arrived the day we scheduled service (same day!), and was able to complete the repair on the spot since the necessary parts were on the truck. We are extremely pleased with the work!

The garage door in our newly purchased home failed on a Friday night. We called on Saturday morning and by noon, Travis & his trainee (I’m sorry I forgot his name) arrived to troubleshoot the issue. He is a true professional and experienced technician! In addition to patiently helping me understand how all the mechanical components work & their failure points, he quickly identified some issues in need of replacement for our 25 year old garage door as well as helping me weigh pros/cons of replacing the old (but working) motor with a new one. Within a few hours, Travis installed a new (and quieter) belt driven motor, new springs, new keypad, new cabling, and reinforced a weak & saggy spot in the center of the door. He took the time to walk us through how to use everything and programmed our remotes, car, and keypad. He even took notice of some military memorabilia I had in the garage and gave me a 10% military discount! I couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome and customer service interaction we had with Travis. Highly recommend Precision!

We were very satisfied with the work done on our garage today. An appointment was available very quickly and our workman and his helper were on time, respectful and polite, provided good communication about what they were doing, pricing was clear and free of any up-sells, and most importantly did good quality, timely work to fix our garage door. It wasn’t cheap, but seemed to be going-rate for Bay Area. We would use Precision again.

Came home on Friday afternoon to find that our garage door wouldn't open. It turns out that our spring had broken. I went online to Precision Garage Door's website and requested service for the following morning (8-12pm). Sheridan Abad arrived a little before 12pm on Saturday and gave me a breakdown of the issues - replace the spring but all 12 rollers on the door needed replacing as they had all worn out, and that the torsion cables and drums also needed replacing. The estimate was way more than what I was expecting but I knew that I'd rather have a functional garage door and not have to worry about it breaking down again in the near future. Ninety minutes later Sheridan was finished and he gave me additional instructions on how to lube the roller mechanisms so that they'd last longer. I couldn't be happier with the work!

Total Ripoff. Service tech came out, clearly knowledgeable. Told me I needed a whole new spring, rod, cable and trolly assembly. - First, the spring isn't broken (it's not "loose" or weakened either) and we confirmed that - The lift cables are not frayed or stretched - The door is original to the house 1996, and so is the opener Genie screw drive too - The trolly engagement piece is stripped. (That's the only problem) it holds the door up, but strips when closing and won't raise because the trolly hookup is stripped. - tech told me that the spring isn't replaceable because my garage door was over 5 years old and made or wood. what a total load of crap How do I know, I have a second garage door right next to it with the same setup. I can't tell the difference in the spring, cable or other assembly. found a trolly replacement part on Amazon for $20. What a scam quote.
