After noticing that my garage door was out of alignment I called Precision Garage doors to come and take a look. They came out the same day and inspected all the working parts of the garage door and showed me one of the cables that holds the door up was in quite bad shape. So I agreed with Tech Miles that it should definitely be replaced. And while he was having to dismantle, that replacing the rod and very old spring was the smart thing to do. It was a real project but Miles hung in there like a real professional. All the while remaining calm, polite and determined to get it done correctly. Even though it ended up costing more than I was originally expecting to spend. In the long run will cost me much less than having to replace the whole garage door. Thank you Miles for your hard work. You are definitely a plus to the company.

The technician was good. I am not sure I can say the same about the representative over the phone. I asked what was the price range and she told me around 500 bucks and I ended up spending $1,500. Not going to complain about that so much but maybe you're Representatives should not give out prices over the phone even price ranges. Again it wasn't a terrible experience but three times the amount I was quoted not good!. I know she was trying to be helpful but don't give me a price and triple it.

This is my first time to contact and utilize Precision Garage Door of Bay Area to perform routine Tune-Up, Lubricate, and if needed, repairs and installation of replaced parts, etc. Mr. Bachir Gharbi showed up at my residence. He did an evaluation and assessment of my Insulated Garage Door with the LiftMaster Motor. He recommended a number of critical parts be replaced such as Springs, supporting Bars, Rollers, Cables with Spools, etc. He informed me that it's going to take an estimated 2-3 hours. As a result of the service, my Garage Door is operating much smoothly and with greater ease. The difference is a much more efficient and operating Garage Door! Needed a new bracket bolted to the garage door. Patrick, our technician provided a 20” long x 3” wide piece of steel bolted to the door. An excellent piece of craftsmanship. It took Patrick only 10 minutes to uninstall the old 2” bracket and install the new one. Very pleased with the work.

He quickly determined that all our rollers were worn out and also needs to be replaced (this was no surprise given how loud our door had become). On Saturday, I awaken to find out that my garage door would not open. I tried multiple times, then remembered that I saw Precision's ad on television. They informed me of the timeframe that the technician would arrive. There was a confirming text restating the arrival and another letting me know the technician was on his way. Carlos was the technician who came and was extremely helpful; explained the problem (loose bolt), check the system to make sure all the rollers, etc were working properly. Not on time, had to wait to get ripped off. Quoted $1300.00 to repair one spring and lube the rest. Didn't even talk about the lifting mechanism...LOL. Took the $69.00 after I told him just had both springs replaced for half and told me ridiculous statement, "everything just doubled". He must have just figured us for fools.

Precision Garage did my brother’s garage install and I was impressed. So when I needed my torsion springs replaced, it was a no brainer to have Precision do the work. I went online the night before and was scheduled between 8am - 12pm the next day for the repair. On the day of the install, Carlos the technician called me and said that he was on his way. Carlos arrived at my property around 9am and greeted me with a big smile. He asked me what I needed repaired and assessed the work to be done. The installer ( Travis) did very fast and I appreciate it but I have some concerned as I identified below, the cost is really expensive but the speed is commensurate. I can give five star once my concerned below will be addressed. I want somebody from Precision to tell me why the spring if I check seems it is not being tighten, I did not see the spring is being tighten as the normal way, when I asked Daryl why I did not see him tightening the spring he said he did it while in the ground because he has no room because of our cars, I told him we can push the car if it is necessary but he said its fine. This is questionable to me I just want to get the opinion of another installer if this is possible. I am also inquiring to my friend who is a garage installed but he already retired. The spring is the same length as when is not being installed and when I touch the spring it seems loose. When I tried to do it manually and raise up the garage it balance but it needs to exert effort (exert effort to open and when the door is about a foot below the floor of the garage it will drop due to each own weight the spring is not doing the job to keep the garage on the open, in my opinion the garage door should not be closing by its own weight but instead a little bit of push by the door closer) this means the door closer will be the one to close and open the garage door the spring seems not doing the job??. If this is the case then the door closer will soon be damage. I want somebody to tell me if this is correct. I change all the roller and the cable and the spring for $2100.00 is this really how expensive to repair a garage now a days? but I authorized it so its me to be blamed, because we really need our garage door to be working on that day. In my opinion in any location the garage should not fall freely using its own weight, this is very dangerous , but it should be by a little push from the door closer for safety. I don't believe that the door should drop even the door is only few inches above the ground. This means if my pet is under the garage say the garage door is 10 inches above the ground and the door closer cable will break then my pet will be at risk or will die if the garage closer cable will break??. In my opinion the spring should keep the garage balance and the door closer minor push to close it for safety, this means nobody will get hurt even small pert. Same as when the garage needs to be open, the door closer should exert a very minimum pull and the garage spring should do the job??. I need somebody to call me at 510-6858614, this is very important, the way the garage door right now that drops by its own weight is dangerous. I need ASAP another installer to show me that the spring is working as I identified above. As an engineer, this should be the case as I describe above, the spring should prevent the door to drop by its own weight, the spring should do the job to prevent the door to drop at any height from the ground so that nobody get hurt even a small pet when the door closer cable will break. May be when the door is already 2" or 1" above the floor its own weight will be the okay to drop .

This was my first garage door repair and It went wonderfully. I called in the afternoon on a Friday and they were able to send a technician within a couple hours. The technician Jose was amazing. He was polite and extremely knowledgeable. He had the spring and bearings replaced in under an hour. My garage door has never opened this quietly before. The technician service is nice and everything but, the cost of service and materials are too high (for a senior without job like me.) The discounts is ok but still, the base cost is too high. Other companies are estimating from $1500-1800 only. I paid $2127.00 just to replace the parts. Price could have been better.
