My tenant reported that she couldn't get her car out of the garage. Precision Garage Door was able to come out early the next day and diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, I had a 50 year old wooden garage door that needed to be completely replaced. They ordered the parts and did a great job replacing the garage. Well … I feel that I wasted the $70 initial visit because the representative misdiagnosed the problem. My garage door was only opening 70% of the way. The representative tried adjusting it with the adjustment buttons (like I did already) … then tried by unplugging the unit for a minute hoping that it would reset (also like I did) … but the door still opened only 70%. Your representative said that we would need to replace the entire unit and rail at a cost of $1,600.00 plus $1,100.00 if the four springs needed replacing. We told him that we would have to think about it. The next day I called B&C garage door .. they came out that evening and also tried the same things and determined that we needed to replace the circuit board in the unit and perhaps adjust the springs … he had the new part (circuit board) with him and replaced it .. then he adjusted the doors opening and closing by using the adjustment buttons on the new circuit board… and also adjusted the springs in order to make the door close softer … now everything works fine … B&C charged me $200.00 … well worth it!! Not sure what the Precision guy was thinking.. he didn’t even offer or think of replacing the circuit board?? So we saved a couple of thousand dollars by using B&C ! … yeah! Precision should refund all or part of my $70.00 that we paid for a misdiagnosis please!

Quick response, waiting on written recommendation with cost estimate including lable and detailed parts breakdown. Called for (1) broken spring, verbal estimate was $1400 which included bearings. My wife called me and I wasn't in a position to make the decision. The first website that came up on a google search while I was on the phone with the tech stated "never pay more than $1000 for springs on a garage". So I await more details.

All went well. Patrick explained all what needed to be fixed. I asked him some questions regarding the garage door. Well since the doors were installed in 2004 he explained to me about the springs and some other parts. So, I trusted him and decided to have all replaced. I’m very happy with the work he did. Both my garage door springs broke at once and my car was trapped in the garage. Our technician, Carlos, was absolutely excellent; friendly, professional and quick. Carlos explained the work that needed to be done to fix the problem. He told what had to be done and what could be done, if we wanted to. In addition to the door repair, at our request i.e. no upselling, Carlos installed a modern belt drive garage door opener. When the job was done Carlos took the time to explain all the features of the door opener and he programmed the door opener in our vehicle. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door and Carlos.

Boulevard Garage Doors responded quickly and sent Valentino Ramirez to our home within 24 hours. Upon arrival, Valentino diagnosed immediately what was the problem. The door hanging cable had started wearing out into strands. He also spotted two problems from the time of the installation by the builder. The garage springs were wrongly placed about an inch lower than the cable holder at the ends. Another problem was the builder used 8' cable for a 7' door. Both will cause too much pressure on the cable and affect the garage door functioning. He fixed all the three problems within an hour and a half. I had bought a garage door seal to replace the one on the door. He replaced it with no additional charge. The quote was reasonable compared to other companies. Overall, the work was done to my satisfaction and the price was reasonable.
