I chose Precision door because they responded right away, however i am disappointed with their work. After spending $1000 to get the garage door fixed 2 weeks ago, it started making squealing noise within a week of repair. Now i have to spend additional $250 to get the noise fixed. They are pretty expensive(charging 3 or 4 time more than regular price).

A 5 star rating for James and Precision. I must commend James for his professionalism. He called a half hour before my appointment. James spent a lot of time to make sure the job was done right. He explained everything to me as he replaced the bearings and spring. He was very personable and you can tell he loves his work. I would call upon him and Precision again to take care of my garage needs.

Though I am satisfied with the work, the charges were outrageous. I trusted Percision to fairly charge for the parts but after getting the work done and doing the research, the charges were 10x more for some parts replaced. As an example, you can buy garage door rollers from Amazon or Home Depot for ~$30 for a pack of 10 and Precision charges were $311. I now wish, I should have not requested to change the rollers and done it myself which would have saved a lot of dollars.

The technician came by and was rude from the beginning and basically said I need to replace everything except the door and the opener at a cost of 1300 and all I need is the springs replaced. When I called they said fixing each spring would just cost 269 or so but after the person came to fix, the cost was much different. When I asked to speak with a manager, he asked me to call the office and he left. Very poor service.

Your technician Sheridan was very instrumental and skillful in my delicate situation with my 2 years old opener, originally installed by Neighborhood Garage door service, which stoped service in CA state. His analyses were precise and right to the point, beter than blah, blah advises from system manufacturer Guardian from Texas. My problem was actually on my springs.

Tech was on time and explained what needed to be replaced. He was friendly and worked efficiently. The bill was a lot more than anticipated so he took time go over it item by item. Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, OSH, all give veterans 10% discount. While pleased with service next time will check around for lower pricing.

I saw your ad in the newspaper, the East By Times and read reviews of your company. We had been having issues with a garage door purchased in 2008. It would open partially, stick then close. Unknown to me was that there were a slew of broken parts, notably the two springs on the 2 car door and deteriorated pulley wheels on both the single car and double car doors which no longer rolled but dragged, thus creating friction and increasing the load on the respective motors. Push came to shove when my wife backed into the double door when it stuck and rolled back down causing a pretty big dent in the door but miraculously not damaging her car. So I called and was able to secure an appointment the next day January 7th. Tim was our technician and did an excellent job. He showed me the parts that had to be replaced, explained why, and demonstrated the difference between my original stock roller wheels and the ones he replaced them with. He also reset the lift distance of both our doors so that it would not hit the stop bolt. He also noticed that one of the light sockets wasn't working and explained the likely cause and fixed that too. But the best part was he was able to nearly restore the outward appearance of the door so that it did not look like it had been pushed outward by my wife's car. Though it wasn't perfect, the only way to notice the slight misalignment of the panels would have been to go up to the door and look down at the panels to see it. When closed, it's impossible to see any misalignment and it clearly cannot be seen while driving up to and then opening the door. Yes it was "expensive" but not in comparison to having to replace the entire door. Essentially we now have a new door with upgraded components for a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire door, motor, etc. I am very pleased.

Excellent and thorough. I called originally for a broken spring and Sheridan found a few more things that I hadn't noticed and would eventually impact the door operation. Sheridan did a great job of explaining why all of these items should be replaced and the impact of not replacing them. Yes, it cost a bit more than I had initially expected but fixing all the issues now will mean I will have a worry free door for many years to come.

As luck would have it, my garage door broke a spring on a Saturday. I was going out of town for a week the following day and needed it fixed that day. Of the local companies I called, none could help me same day and some did not answer the phone. I have seen Precision's add several times. I called them and explained the situation. They worked me into the schedule that same day! Their service was very professional and courteous. I'm really happy I had them come out! I will use Precision again should the need arise, and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I was sold a new garage door motor for a total of $2,146.00. All I needed was a new chain. The motor has always worked. An estimate for a new motor was emailed to me before the technician arrived - I assumed that was a maximum figure - not one that would apply after the technician viewed the minor problem in my case. The technician told me the old motor was not adequate. I don't believe that was true. He was dismantling the system as he spoke - it seemed too late to change this process. He had called the company and asked the price - then he had shown me his computer with the price. What I saw was $197 and some odd cents. I told him that when he came in with the bill. He said I couldn't expect to get a new motor for such a low price. Were there less expensive options? The technician was apparently trained to avoid any discussion of this issue.
