Came home on Friday afternoon to find that our garage door wouldn't open. It turns out that our spring had broken. I went online to Precision Garage Door's website and requested service for the following morning (8-12pm). Sheridan Abad arrived a little before 12pm on Saturday and gave me a breakdown of the issues - replace the spring but all 12 rollers on the door needed replacing as they had all worn out, and that the torsion cables and drums also needed replacing. The estimate was way more than what I was expecting but I knew that I'd rather have a functional garage door and not have to worry about it breaking down again in the near future. Ninety minutes later Sheridan was finished and he gave me additional instructions on how to lube the roller mechanisms so that they'd last longer. I couldn't be happier with the work!

Total Ripoff. Service tech came out, clearly knowledgeable. Told me I needed a whole new spring, rod, cable and trolly assembly. - First, the spring isn't broken (it's not "loose" or weakened either) and we confirmed that - The lift cables are not frayed or stretched - The door is original to the house 1996, and so is the opener Genie screw drive too - The trolly engagement piece is stripped. (That's the only problem) it holds the door up, but strips when closing and won't raise because the trolly hookup is stripped. - tech told me that the spring isn't replaceable because my garage door was over 5 years old and made or wood. what a total load of crap How do I know, I have a second garage door right next to it with the same setup. I can't tell the difference in the spring, cable or other assembly. found a trolly replacement part on Amazon for $20. What a scam quote.

We reached out to Precision because our 4 y.o. garage door opener was making a strange clicking sound. We were amazed that they had same day availability! Rodney, the technician arrived within the arrival window and preceded to diagnose the situation. Long story short, there was dangerous wear from an overly tight drive belt, track misalignment, and poorly balanced spring that could have seriously injured someone had the parts failed. Rodney was incredibly methodical, attentive to detail and communicated very clearly what he was seeing, what our options were and how much it would cost. He spent the time to make sure the job was done well and that there would be no need for a callback. Would highly recommend Precision for anyone repairing or replacing a garage door!

Our technician was Patrick Leahy and he was great. He did a thorough inspection. The unit couldn't be repaired so he provided the band-aid solution and also the option to replace the unit, springs, cables and rollers. He explained everything so well we were completely comfortable doing the complete job, which he finished in under 3 hours, then spent at least 45 minutes explaining all the repairs, how to use and program the opener, and how to keep everything in top condition in between routine service appointments. I wish Precision serviced the foothills where we have a cabin, as I need similar work there. All in all, we are very pleased.

I picked precision garage door of Bay Area because I saw tv commercial and they have late hours. They were able to send someone first thing in the morning! My garage door was not closing and I was very stressed. Technician Carlos came by as promised. He was able to fix the issue. He was extremely courteous professional and very helpful! They also extended me a nurse discount which I was extremely pleased!

Our garage door opener broke in the morning and was repaired by mid afternoon. Our technician Bachir was super professional and took a lot of time looking at the overall condition of the opener, door and associated hardware and explained a lot of stuff to me which was very helpful. He even had to make a run to the hardware store for some specialry parts and make a custom bracket since our door was so old (dating from 1960.) I couldn't recommend Precison Garage Door more.

On Sunday, I discovered that my garage door shut and bounced back up repeatedly every time I tried to close it. I immediately called Precision Garage Door Repair. They told me they could come out early Monday morning. They kept their promise their technician, Mr. Sterling Griggs came out, and in less than two hours was able to troubleshoot, locate, and repair all of the warn out parts on both my garage door and my garage door opener. He did a fantastic job and the garage door works just like new now! The parts and labor were very reasonable, and we were very pleased with the service Mr. Griggs performed. I highly recommend this company as they are true professionals.

Prompt, timely service - it was late afternoon, early eve, so they were already into overtime, urgent appointments, but they were able to schedule me for the very next morning early. The great super nice technician called ahead, so I was able to make sure he knew it was a much older door and confirm he could deal with it, as the springs might be custom, and he assured me, "we are professionals"! He showed up at the beginning of the 2-hour allotted appointment time slot, and was done before it ended! I couldn't believe how fast, efficient, competent, courteous, experienced and knowledgeable he was. He replaced both springs, rod, and bearing, serviced all the moving door parts, cleaning/lubricating, tightened all the nuts and bolts, and took the time to answer all my questions and show me the ropes of my semi-new (or nicely refurbished old!), functioning, auto working garage door! I didn't need to replace the whole door, he was able to fix all the old parts, so saved me several thousand dollars! And he was very nice, such a pleasant young man. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door excellent A+ service!

Service Tech, Tried to HARD SALE ME on $2,300.00 repairs. Replace current spring assembly with a center spring assembly, rollers and lift cables! I had one broken spring, and one broken cable! I’m sure replacing two springs and two lift cables will do the trick. Have their competitors scheduled for Monday. They need to change their slogan to: “A Name You CAN’T TRUST.” I know they’re really duping a lot of customers out there! I never write reviews, however I just needed to put this out there…

I phoned Precision in the morning and was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. The technicians were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. They drew my attention to repairs needed in addition to what I had initially phoned called about. They did all the repairs and told me what routine maintenance I needed to do in order to keep the door in good condition.

i had a new liftmaster garage door opener system installed in 2006 and have never had a problem with it. with the excessive rain recently, however, some rainwater leaked through what is a new garage roof ( installed last spring, but inadequately done which is a whole other issue i have with a roofing company ) ... the water apparently affected the electrical circuit box for the liftmaster mechanism and it would no longer work ... my garage door would not open and as there is no inside access it was a big problem ... i called the liftmaster service number and based on my zip code i was referred to precision garage door service ... they were able to send a very capable young man named tony to my place the same day even though it was a monday national holiday ... tony stood on a ladder and eventually manuevered a coat hangar wire through a very tiny opening at the top of the door so he would be able to access the emergency release handle and open the door ... once inside he determined right away that the mechanism was affected by the leaking water and for an immediate short term fix rerouted the electricity using an extension cord to another electrical outlet on the garage wall ... he was very knowledgeable about everything and explained a possible option for a long term solution regarding relocating part of the electrical system for the mechanism ... of course ideally the new garage roof should not leak at all but that is another issue to take up with the roofing company ! many thanks to tony and precision garage for solving the immediate problem so quickly for me ... i really appreciated the expertise and the service !

I was very impressed with the quick response and professionalism in fixing my garage door which would reverse immediately after touching the floor so I couldn't close it. The installers came out the same weekend day I called for help. Worn cables and rollers were replaced by friendly technicians. Now my garage door works like new and is much quieter. I give the service 5 stars. I am so grateful for the quick response to my inquiry for service. I found your ad in the Yellow Pages of the Homeowners Guide. I was unable to close the garage door and I was fearful that my garage was open to the interior of my house. The attendant explained the choices of fixing the door with the parts in it or putting in new parts. The warranties would vary. The attendant was a skilled professional and a pleasant person.
