Excellent service, even if pricey. We were having an intermittent problem that wasn't diagnosed correctly by a different company on repeated visits, so we tried this one after a complete failure left us unable to open the door at all. Very prompt response, courteous service, and our door is now working perfectly.

We called Precision because we received excellent repair service before. Unfortunately, the service this time was very poor. We were especially disappointed with the technician's behavior. We found him to be disrespectful for several reasons: 1) The tech continued a personal phone call when he came into our garage and did not greet us in a professional manner. 3) During repair, we heard several parts being dropped on garage floor! 4) Greasy finger prints were visible in a couple of places on our white garage door. The tech was there for about 15-20 minutes from start to finish and charged around $1100. The garage door was repaired but his work was sloppy and we were overcharged. We believe the charge was not commensurate with the work that was done.

Once Jose Brizuela completed replacing my opener and wheels later that same day, I am thankful things worked out as they did. Jose arrived within two hours, quickly diagnosed the problem (old age ... opener, not owner) and had everything on the truck to bring it into this century. Then two hours later, he was gone. From the start, the agent who answered my call, LaToya, was very professional and careful to obtain my information and repeat it back to me clearly. The appointment was set for early that afternoon. Technician, Mario arrived on time, assessed the damage, and provided me with proposals for what had to be replaced immediately (broken gear in opener) and what could possibly wait a while longer (torsion springs). As the whole assembly almost 20 years old, I opted for full replacement. While testing the newly installed equipment, he found that one of the roller bearings was bad so he replaced that as well. I have no complaints with this company. Precision Garage Door Service isn't just a name, it's a description!

Carlos was excellent. I believe he thought he was walking into a quick 30-minute job because he was only there to correct an issue left by a rodent control company. When he arrived he saw the extent of the work needed and immediately let me know what was going to happen to make the door work properly. he didn't have all the parts so he took a quick trip to pick them up. Knowing I needed to get the garage door functioning as soon as possible, he worked until 7:00 pm. The door works great now Excellent Job!

Called Contra Costa Door (original installer) to fix broken spring on 25 year old garage door. To my surprise I was connected to Precision Garage Door. The person I talked to set up a convenient time for me to have a technician repair my door. Approximately 20 minutes before my appointment, Carlos called me and told me that he was on his way. When he arrived (on time!) he scoped out the problems and explained to me the what repairs were needed and different options for repair/service and a separate cost estimate for each option. I chose the service that I wanted and within an hour or so, the job was completed and done right! Thanks to Carlos for his skills and his professionalism. Carlos was very courteous and represents Precision well. Good work ain't cheap, but cheap work ain't always good. Carlos did good work!

It feels like this company is practicing the price grabbing or bait/switch. When I called, the office person only informed the service charge of 69.95. When the technician came, there was a minimal labor cost of 89.95 in addition to the service charge. I called the office and only got pushed back saying the office does not know the labor cost and it will ONLY be determined by the technician. Surprising, surprising....

We reached out to Precision because our 4 y.o. garage door opener was making a strange clicking sound. We were amazed that they had same day availability! Rodney, the technician arrived within the arrival window and preceded to diagnose the situation. Long story short, there was dangerous wear from an overly tight drive belt, track misalignment, and poorly balanced spring that could have seriously injured someone had the parts failed. Rodney was incredibly methodical, attentive to detail and communicated very clearly what he was seeing, what our options were and how much it would cost. He spent the time to make sure the job was done well and that there would be no need for a callback. Would highly recommend Precision for anyone repairing or replacing a garage door!
