I came home from a Costco trip loaded with groceries and the garage door would not open. I searched for garage repair shops in Livermore. Precision came up with a list that had one close. I called and right away a real person answered the phone and she said a repair person would be between 10 and 2. That was a10 and 1 I received a call from Carlos that he was on the way and would be there in 30 minutes. He arrived and knew exactly what was wrong. He explained the problem to me and my options for the repair. I can not say enough how great he was: his appearance was good, he was very patient dealing with any questions and he was quick with the install and left leaving a clean work area. As promised by the scheduler, Rod, our repair technician called prior to his arrival. Once he was on the scene, he was polite and professional. He listened to my concerns then conducted a thorough inspection of the garage door and accessories before making a diagnosis and recommending a solution. After installing a new keypad and remote he patiently worked through some electronic and coding issues. Only after I felt assured that the problem was completely resolved, did he depart. I never got the sense that he was rushing through my work order to move onto the next job, before the current job was complete! Rod exceeded our expectations! Great work! Thanks again!

The technician service is nice and everything but, the cost of service and materials are too high (for a senior without job like me.) The discounts is ok but still, the base cost is too high. Other companies are estimating from $1500-1800 only. I paid $2127.00 just to replace the parts. Price could have been better.

Total Ripoff. Service tech came out, clearly knowledgeable. Told me I needed a whole new spring, rod, cable and trolly assembly. - First, the spring isn't broken (it's not "loose" or weakened either) and we confirmed that - The lift cables are not frayed or stretched - The door is original to the house 1996, and so is the opener Genie screw drive too - The trolly engagement piece is stripped. (That's the only problem) it holds the door up, but strips when closing and won't raise because the trolly hookup is stripped. - tech told me that the spring isn't replaceable because my garage door was over 5 years old and made or wood. what a total load of crap How do I know, I have a second garage door right next to it with the same setup. I can't tell the difference in the spring, cable or other assembly. found a trolly replacement part on Amazon for $20. What a scam quote.

I would like to recommend Precision Garage Door Service for their excellent service. We discovered in the early morning our garage door barely opened. We called Precision at 7am, and barely 3 hours later they already showed up. The technician clearly showed me what was wrong, and what had to be replaced and why, which is always very much appreciated. Barely an hour later springs, roller and bearing were all replaced and functioning well. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and professionalism displayed by Precision on this job.

I was very pleased with Precision for a number of reasons. They were able to come to my house the day after I called, and it was a morning time. My technician, I think his name was Travis, was great. He explained to me the problem, and what my options were. He also informed me of ways to maintain my garage door, in ways better than I was already doing. He also got the job done quickly and efficiently, so that we could continue our day without having to be home. All in all, a very good experience. I would use them again, but I hope I don’t have to.

Very disappointed in the results. The service tech was very professional but I never should have let him talk me into replacing my springs when all I really needed was the cables replaced. My door hasn’t worked since my service and I may have to replace my opener to overpower the new springs. I have since replaced all the rollers and tried adjusting the springs myself to try to make it work. Would never hire Precision again.

I was in a bind and was quoted $3,000 to replace my spring and installed some hardware. I don’t believe I’ve spent $3,000 combined for every service performed on my garage door. This is price gouging. Total service time was about 90 minutes. Very disappointed to say the least.

Patrick came out to my house right on time. After looking at the garage door, he was thorough in his explanation of what the issues were and how he would repair them. He was clearly very knowledgeable and clarified every question I had. His work was efficient and he beat his estimated time by at least half an hour. When he was done, he then explained and showed me all of the work completed. He even explained all of the warranty information, as well.
