As luck would have it, my garage door broke a spring on a Saturday. I was going out of town for a week the following day and needed it fixed that day. Of the local companies I called, none could help me same day and some did not answer the phone. I have seen Precision's add several times. I called them and explained the situation. They worked me into the schedule that same day! Their service was very professional and courteous. I'm really happy I had them come out! I will use Precision again should the need arise, and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Service was fast and repair tech on sight in an hour and completed work in less than an hour. However, $1,100 for under an hours work and for what I thought was just a broken spring seems a bit steep. Not sure if I really needed all new wheels, cables or whatever else was changed. Kinda feels like I was taken for a ride.

Saw ad in Contra Costa Times the day my garage door broke. Called about 9:00, was told they would be there by 12:00 and 4:00. He arrived at 1:00, repaired door, was knowledgeable and curtious , would recommend them and use them again.

Technician Alex was very knowledgeable and helpful. Initially I called for service due to a broken tension spring. After careful inspection he found numerous other items needing repair such as tension cables rollers and pulleys. After looking at each part in question I had no reservation about authorizing additional repairs. Yes it was expensive but I have much greater peace of mind knowing my garage door and opener will perform at top level for years to come.

I was very distressed as to how I was treated by the technician who came out to fix my garage door. He came at me with all guns blazing - quoting me an outrageous price, and doing it quite aggressively. I was shocked at both his manner and the price. He agreed finally just to do the minimal amount of work, and that still was a sky high amount of money. Just to cut the tangled cable so that the garage door would close would cost me $400 he said!!! After much discussion, during which the technician became increasingly more belligerent, he "called" the boss, and the price came down $100. I felt very bullied and taken advantage of. I would NEVER advise anyone using this company without getting at least two other quotes from other businesses. Being elderly, and a woman, I felt that he saw a "gottcha" opportunity, and went in for the kill. UPDATE: I just ended my phone conversation with Pat, who was following up my complaint about the service I had received from his company. He agreed to refund me some of the cost of the garage door repair, as I felt that I had been significantly over charged. Mario and his colleague did a great job explaining the problems with my old non-functioning door opener and the options for repair and replacement. They worked efficiently, finished the installation of the new opener and door springs within the estimated time, cleaned up the area, and then walked my wife and me through the installation of the iPhone app and the operation of the new opener. We were very happy with their work!

I used Precision like 10 years ago for some maintenance but then ended up using another company for a new motor a couple of years ago mostly because I forgot who I used previously. Today a spring broke on my huge steal insulated double door. Initially I couldn't get it open even with pulling the emergency lever. It was way too heavy for one person. So I called this other company that installed the motor and told them, "I have an emergency. Can't get the door open". "Sorry they told me. We are booked four days out". Next I called Precision and they sent someone out within 3 hours. In the meantime I went on youtube and figured out how to open a door with a broken spring so I could get my cars out. Garrett from Precision showed up and handled the repair for a reasonable price. Here is the bottom line. If you pick a garage door company for a door, a motor, whatever and they don't have an emergency service setup like Precision has you'll be calling Precision anyway if something goes really wrong and you need same day service. Save yourself the trouble and just go with Precision. Garrett was super nice and an expert at handling everything and Precision cared that I needed service right away. Thanks Precision you guys rock!

My service tech Gabriel was very professional, detail and polite. He explained everything that needed to be done to get my garage door to function properly and when it came to the price, he gave me three options to decide from as I didn’t have a garage door opener to operate my garage remotely.
