My garage door opened failed. A friend recommended Precision Garage Door, so I gave them a call at 6:00 PM on a Saturday evening. They answered on the first ring and dispatched Sheridan Abad to my home at 11:00 AM Sunday morning. One of my decades-old garage door openers was making a horrible gear-grinding sound. Sheridan quickly diagnosed the problem, clearly communicated what was happening, and provided me with some good options. For me, reliability is paramount, so I had him replace the opener with a new LiftMaster. It's a quiet belt-driven unit with a battery backup. Now I can even open the door when the power is out. The unit also offers some cool features if you connect it to your Wi-Fi. Sheridan also replaced the door's old squeaky rollers and bearings. The operation is now silky smooth. I was impressed that Sheridan had a fully stocked vehicle with all the necessary spare parts. Getting this problem fully resolved in just one trip is a huge plus for me. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door for their professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness. It was a wonderful experience.

I had called to have a technician sent out to my home to assist with servicing my garage door and resetting our current door openers. The technician shared that we needed a new motor and that our openers were too old to fix. In less than 5 minutes (arrival, inspection, and quote) we received a quote for a new door opener at $800. Needless to say, we paid the $50 fee for coming out. My husband was able to do some research online and found out how to reprogram our current door opener for free! Needless to say, I was not impressed with being quoted $800 and paying a $50 service fee for a job that could’ve been done in 5 minutes and required no new motor!

I called late Tuesday afternoon and was able to have a technician out the next day. The process of scheduling was very smooth and was followed up with an email confirming the appointment time. Sheridan Abad was the Tech and he immediately confirmed we had a broken spring. He had to replace both springs and some bearings. I thought the overall price was a little steep. The quality of the work was excellent and was efficient. I had called the company who had installed the door and the soonest they could come was in a week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. This was not acceptable since we had to get into the garage and the only way in was through the broken door. I would recommend Precision for prompt quality service. The fact that Sheridan is a Rotarian made the experience even better.

Sheridan was the technician that came out to replace the mechanism which included springs, new cables, etc for the garage door. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. He worked efficiently and the job was done quickly.

Currently I am overseas on Business and was not there to coordinate with the service person. I am satisfied with the promptness of the service however disappointed that my wife was not offered the 3 year warranty. Nor was she shown the "Best" as indicated in the email I received. Only difference I saw was the warranty length and an additional cable The price of the replacement battery started out at $155 which is a pretty big mark-up as I can purchase myself for $49. My indicated the service guy said he reduced the price by 50% but still a high price in my opinion. More disappointed with not having the 3 year warranty than anything else. My 5 year warranty on the original repair in 2015 had just expired on June 27 and would have liked to seen a new 5 year warranty offered.

Sheridan arrived promptly, did a full inspection of the system and offered many options for service. I initially opted for a more budget friendly service, which Sheridan promptly initiated. After consulting with the boss, which she pointed out the importance of a safe installation, of a major security feature of the house was our priority, we opted to get all the recommendations done. Sheridan completed all the work within the hour, made sure I understood my invoice and how completing all the work would save us money in the long run. He showed me all the parts he replaced and we tested the garage door before he left. He didn’t leave a mess and was respectful of our house and all the COVID / Social distancing protocols while working. This is our first home so there was some sticker shock but overall from start to finish, from calling after hours and getting a person (Derek) to book us, to Sheridan arriving on Labor Day and getting the work done, their professionalism and service is worth it.

Excellent and thorough. I called originally for a broken spring and Sheridan found a few more things that I hadn't noticed and would eventually impact the door operation. Sheridan did a great job of explaining why all of these items should be replaced and the impact of not replacing them. Yes, it cost a bit more than I had initially expected but fixing all the issues now will mean I will have a worry free door for many years to come.

The installer was Sheridan. I am glad to report that it was fast, efficient, neat (no mess left behind) and informative (he explained the system in easy terms and demonstrated all the "bells and whistles". Great professional. Fairly unhappy! You say you offer a senior discount being 72 it was not offered. Precision had originally installed the unit, I was told the system was not powerful enough and I needed a different one, I passed on it. He said the sensor was bad and recommended replacement of wire with sensor. Retail cost of both parts is about 50 dollars, less on Amazon. It took 15 min. to install and the total charge was 380 dollars. I felt taken advantage of.

Sheridan was the Technician that serviced my door which turned out to just need some lubrications. He was here about 20 minutes and solved the problem, however, I asked for a senior discount and he said he already gave me a discount on the service charge. I was told that fee would automatically be discounted if repairs were made. $224.00 seems excessive for the service.

Thank you for your fast attention to my problem. The roll-up garage door had come off its tract due to an accident with my car and needed to be put back in place. I feel I was overcharged ($1549) for what I needed, but being under duress I paid it. The door spring was not broken but I could not certify when I last had them replaced I had to purchase new ones. All this said, I still thank you for being there when I needed the service.

(The Garage door owner tried to do his own repairs and he screwed it all up including breaking the motor beyond repair) Called Precision Garage Door and made an appointment for the next day.
