I never received a receipt for the 1st job done. I also need copy of Warranty and instruction to open the door when it's stuck. I needed to recharge my electric car but couldn't open the door. How do I open the door manually the next time it's stuck OR if we have a power outage. Just talked to the guy who fixed the door. He said labor charge is $89 and service call is $49.95. Shouldn't the service call fee be folded into the labor charge? Your fees are unreasonable and unfair! We are seniors on fixed income. Do not overcharge! Today's charge of $433.54 does not describe what was fixed.

bottom line the door got fixed! (broken spring) But the tech was very unhelpful, could not answer questions and tried to pad the bill with unwanted maint. Finally he was politely TOLD three times to PLEASE keep the gate shut, dogs. He disregared this. might look elsewhere next time!

I was very distressed as to how I was treated by the technician who came out to fix my garage door. He came at me with all guns blazing - quoting me an outrageous price, and doing it quite aggressively. I was shocked at both his manner and the price. He agreed finally just to do the minimal amount of work, and that still was a sky high amount of money. Just to cut the tangled cable so that the garage door would close would cost me $400 he said!!! After much discussion, during which the technician became increasingly more belligerent, he "called" the boss, and the price came down $100. I felt very bullied and taken advantage of. I would NEVER advise anyone using this company without getting at least two other quotes from other businesses. Being elderly, and a woman, I felt that he saw a "gottcha" opportunity, and went in for the kill. UPDATE: I just ended my phone conversation with Pat, who was following up my complaint about the service I had received from his company. He agreed to refund me some of the cost of the garage door repair, as I felt that I had been significantly over charged. I was sold a new garage door motor for a total of $2,146.00. All I needed was a new chain. The motor has always worked. An estimate for a new motor was emailed to me before the technician arrived - I assumed that was a maximum figure - not one that would apply after the technician viewed the minor problem in my case. The technician told me the old motor was not adequate. I don't believe that was true. He was dismantling the system as he spoke - it seemed too late to change this process. He had called the company and asked the price - then he had shown me his computer with the price. What I saw was $197 and some odd cents. I told him that when he came in with the bill. He said I couldn't expect to get a new motor for such a low price. Were there less expensive options? The technician was apparently trained to avoid any discussion of this issue.

The employee arrived early, made an inspection, and ran some tests. It appeared that the computer inside the door opener was not functioning correctly and since the door opener was around 5 years old, I made the decision just to replace it. It was quick and easy.

Precision is a rip-off. Some JACK-ASS came out to my house and tried to sell me a whole brand new garage door for $5,000 and all I needed was 2 Springs. They try to sell me 2 springs for $619 I told the guy to get the hell out of here. I called another garage company called ALL BAY garage doors. They are the nicest people around and only charged me, 295.00. So Precision go rip somebody else you're not going to rip me off. Jim Martin, Castro Valley, California.

The cost of the parts to repair the door were exorbitant. When I called to get estimate to replace the 2 springs - Precision Door was well, "right in there" so to speak. After all the other "suggested parts/repairs" were added in, the price went from a potential $549.95 to the final bill of $1,527.42. I used the service based on reviews from Yelp and others. When the repair person suggests he installs some other parts based on safety, I said ok. Basically, I was in no position because I needed to to have the door fixed and operating for obvious reasons. The price of ALL THE PARTS, which can all be purchased for pennies on the dollar feels like extortion. I paid 29.12 per 4" roller. I can buy one box of rollers for that much. I paid $349.00 in rollers a task anyone with any mechanical ability can install and purchase from amazon. Not to mention the price of the cables and bearing plates. BTW the installer told me he didn't include the price of labor in his estimate....OUCH, now it really hurts. Very disappointed in the sales technique of "I'm here and this should be done for safety" not to mentioned we mark up the prices on parts so much we can make more money on you than a new advertised door on this web page!! When the tech started to tell me about replacing my opener with a new one for safety reasons - I said please no thank you! Then he was looking at the sticker on the unit and told me it was built in 2009 and will only last another month to a year?? Yes - he jumped from one month to one year.... Take a look at the bill of which I paid in full. I will not recommend your company to anyone. Signed, Frustrated
