Precision presented itself as a professional business on its website and again when I called and talk to a representative who was courteous and helpful in setting up an earliest as possible appointment. Paul, the repairman who came to our house, was very knowledgeable. The technician seemed a little perturbed when he saw what was wrong with our garage door. And immediately stated the cost would be $425.00. It took him approx 10 minutes to fix the issue. When I questioned him about the amount charged and the length of time it took him to complete the job he said I can take off $50. I questioned again if this is what it costs no matter how long it takes, and he stated I’m just an employee I will not ever use this company again and would not recommend anyone to use this company. They maybe able to fix garage doors but at the expense of someone who has no choice but to pay what they say.

Today I had my garage door serviced by Precison. The engineer was on time as promised. He did an assessment of my garage door, the automatic opener and parts. The assessment was through, all aspects of the assessment were explained to me. Once I decided what work would be done, the work started right away. New rollers, new spring, new cables, and a new garage door opener was installed within 2 hours. I am so happy with this service. I was drawn to Precision because of its outstanding reviews and ratings. They didn't disappoint. We had one issue but I knew our garage door system was about 20 years old and was on its last legs. I saw your ad in the newspaper, the East By Times and read reviews of your company. We had been having issues with a garage door purchased in 2008. It would open partially, stick then close. Unknown to me was that there were a slew of broken parts, notably the two springs on the 2 car door and deteriorated pulley wheels on both the single car and double car doors which no longer rolled but dragged, thus creating friction and increasing the load on the respective motors. Push came to shove when my wife backed into the double door when it stuck and rolled back down causing a pretty big dent in the door but miraculously not damaging her car. So I called and was able to secure an appointment the next day January 7th. Tim was our technician and did an excellent job. He showed me the parts that had to be replaced, explained why, and demonstrated the difference between my original stock roller wheels and the ones he replaced them with. He also reset the lift distance of both our doors so that it would not hit the stop bolt. He also noticed that one of the light sockets wasn't working and explained the likely cause and fixed that too. But the best part was he was able to nearly restore the outward appearance of the door so that it did not look like it had been pushed outward by my wife's car. Though it wasn't perfect, the only way to notice the slight misalignment of the panels would have been to go up to the door and look down at the panels to see it. When closed, it's impossible to see any misalignment and it clearly cannot be seen while driving up to and then opening the door. Yes it was "expensive" but not in comparison to having to replace the entire door. Essentially we now have a new door with upgraded components for a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire door, motor, etc. I am very pleased.

Unexpected broken torsion spring Sunday morning. Garage won’t open, not even manually. Called two garage repair companies before precision door east bay. First company was AAAA and they never called me back. The second company was precision door from a different location- they offered Monday AM repair. I called PDEB at 11:30 and they promised a 2-6 pm ETA. Repairman Danny called me at 2pm and arrived at 2:20. He was done by 3pm. Garage works great. Thanks Danny!!! Price was fair for product and fast service.

Our Garage door opener had an unfortunate breakage today and we were unable to open our garage door. My door was "acting up" and had trouble getting the last door company to repair it (they had replacrd the opener in October). Needless to say, I needed a new company. Your colorful ad caught my eye and the coupon offer sealed the deal. The serviceman was very nice and went right to work. He found that the sensors(for safety)were in need of replacement and did the work. I will most certainly call your company again,if the need arises. Couldn't find or don't know the exact repair.

My garage door opened failed. A friend recommended Precision Garage Door, so I gave them a call at 6:00 PM on a Saturday evening. They answered on the first ring and dispatched Sheridan Abad to my home at 11:00 AM Sunday morning. One of my decades-old garage door openers was making a horrible gear-grinding sound. Sheridan quickly diagnosed the problem, clearly communicated what was happening, and provided me with some good options. For me, reliability is paramount, so I had him replace the opener with a new LiftMaster. It's a quiet belt-driven unit with a battery backup. Now I can even open the door when the power is out. The unit also offers some cool features if you connect it to your Wi-Fi. Sheridan also replaced the door's old squeaky rollers and bearings. The operation is now silky smooth. I was impressed that Sheridan had a fully stocked vehicle with all the necessary spare parts. Getting this problem fully resolved in just one trip is a huge plus for me. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door for their professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness. It was a wonderful experience.

My garage door has been making popping/banging sounds when closing. Called Precision GD and was able to get service the same day....what a relief. Paul arrived on time; assessed the issues (many by the way); then proceeded to work to replace..rollers, Liftmaster door opener, a few hinges and cable. So happy to have a QUIET, smooth door with battery backup and best of all, a motion detector to turn on my garage light! Highly recommend Precision GD to anyone needing help with their garage door. I had called to have a technician sent out to my home to assist with servicing my garage door and resetting our current door openers. The technician shared that we needed a new motor and that our openers were too old to fix. In less than 5 minutes (arrival, inspection, and quote) we received a quote for a new door opener at $800. Needless to say, we paid the $50 fee for coming out. My husband was able to do some research online and found out how to reprogram our current door opener for free! Needless to say, I was not impressed with being quoted $800 and paying a $50 service fee for a job that could’ve been done in 5 minutes and required no new motor!
