I phoned Precision in the morning and was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. The technicians were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. They drew my attention to repairs needed in addition to what I had initially phoned called about. i had a new liftmaster garage door opener system installed in 2006 and have never had a problem with it. with the excessive rain recently, however, some rainwater leaked through what is a new garage roof ( installed last spring, but inadequately done which is a whole other issue i have with a roofing company ) ... the water apparently affected the electrical circuit box for the liftmaster mechanism and it would no longer work ... my garage door would not open and as there is no inside access it was a big problem ... i called the liftmaster service number and based on my zip code i was referred to precision garage door service ... they were able to send a very capable young man named tony to my place the same day even though it was a monday national holiday ... tony stood on a ladder and eventually manuevered a coat hangar wire through a very tiny opening at the top of the door so he would be able to access the emergency release handle and open the door ... once inside he determined right away that the mechanism was affected by the leaking water and for an immediate short term fix rerouted the electricity using an extension cord to another electrical outlet on the garage wall ... he was very knowledgeable about everything and explained a possible option for a long term solution regarding relocating part of the electrical system for the mechanism ... of course ideally the new garage roof should not leak at all but that is another issue to take up with the roofing company ! many thanks to tony and precision garage for solving the immediate problem so quickly for me ... i really appreciated the expertise and the service !

I was very impressed with the quick response and professionalism in fixing my garage door which would reverse immediately after touching the floor so I couldn't close it. Your company came out and tried to charge me $1549,00 to change my springs cables and rollers according to your man were no good . Not to mention you charged me $70.00 for a service call Had another company come out installed new springs , cables No new rollers as they were fine $650.00 dollars total No service fee You seriously need to rethink your pricing and acessment of people’s doors Horrible I will never use your company again You should refund my money

It appeared that our 9+ year-old garage door opener motor had begun lifting the door much slower than usual starting the last few days of 2022. I thought only the spring might need further tensioning in order to handle more of the work lifting the door, but was not sure. I called Precision mid-morning on December 29th and received an appointment that same afternoon. The technician arrive roughly in the middle of the time window given and called ahead twice to update us with his estimated arrival time. He demonstrated that too little spring tension was Not the problem (our spring apparently has several more years of useful life) and that we needed a new motor as I had feared. Some other door components needed some modest adjustment/alignment/lubrication as well, but we also decided to replace the 22+ year old original wire cables that lift the door since they had begun to fray. The technician walked us through everything he had done, demonstrated all aspects of the new arrangements to us, and programmed the two remotes (one built into our 5 year-old car and a new clip-on visor clicker for our 20 year-old car). My wife and I carried out our own tests of all aspects of the new system that we would be using with the technician to make sure we understood it. We decided not to utilize several of the higher-tech aspects of the new motor system since we did not expect to have any need for them. The entire job took about 2-1/2 hours, but everything tested out perfectly. The work was a lot more expensive than I had hoped (just an inspection, a spring adjustment, and some lubrication), but we feel that all the repair/replacement work performed yesterday was necessary and properly done. We have used Precision every year or two for over a decade to maintain and repair our garage door. This was the first major repair in many years.

Thank you for the emergency repair and install. It was nicely done in a few hours as advertised. I appreciate very much the excellent service from your engineer Alex. He is very hard working with demonstrated skills and knowledge. However, I do have sticker shock because every piece of raw materials (springs, tubes and opener) are at least 2x more expensive than the market. In an emergency situation, customer is usually not in a good bargaining position... Excellent service but heavy mark up has greatly reduced client satisfaction.

I have used Precision Garage Door many times and every time I use them I have a great experience. I called and asked for information regarding a new opener because I was wanting to get the remotes to the opener out of my family cars. But because of the unit I had I could not add the MYQ technology. Called in and the same day Carlos came to my house. He went over the different options of the units that he had and I chose the newer model which was more money but that's ok. You cant put a price on your families security. Carlos installed the opener and did some repairs on my door which were badly needed. Carlos was a 5 star installer and was very professional. He explained the unit and how it works and had me all set up before he left. Thank you Carlos for everything.
