I strongly recommend Precision Door Service to anyone who is having problems with an existing garage door or anyone who needs a new one. Also I would like to give my highest commendation to technician Alex Kogan who did the work. On Friday, December 13, 2019, I called Precision because the motor in my garage door opener was making some crunching noises. Precision promptly answered the phone without my having to listen to a lot of voicemail prompts. They set me up with an appointment for Monday, December 16. At the appointed time, technician Alex Kogan arrived and examined my garage door. He identified a number of problems with the door which included defective rollers, bearings, and torsion springs. Alex went right to work in repairing all of these problems and completed the job in 1.5 hours. Alex demonstrated the highest level of professionalism in the way he interacted with me, the way he identified the problems, and the way he completed the job in a timely manner. In addition, Alex had all of the necessary parts in stock on his truck. There was no need to back order anything.

I was very distressed as to how I was treated by the technician who came out to fix my garage door. He came at me with all guns blazing - quoting me an outrageous price, and doing it quite aggressively. I was shocked at both his manner and the price. He agreed finally just to do the minimal amount of work, and that still was a sky high amount of money. Just to cut the tangled cable so that the garage door would close would cost me $400 he said!!! After much discussion, during which the technician became increasingly more belligerent, he "called" the boss, and the price came down $100. I felt very bullied and taken advantage of. I would NEVER advise anyone using this company without getting at least two other quotes from other businesses. Being elderly, and a woman, I felt that he saw a "gottcha" opportunity, and went in for the kill. UPDATE: I just ended my phone conversation with Pat, who was following up my complaint about the service I had received from his company. He agreed to refund me some of the cost of the garage door repair, as I felt that I had been significantly over charged. The 4 hour window is really large and I understand initially for the appt but day of and closer to start of window, a narrowing of the window would be helpful. I had a 1-5pm window so I left work at 12:45. At 4:20 with no contact, I called and was told, yes you are next and it should be soon. At 5:30 the technician called to say he didn't realize he had this appt and it was written on one of his manifests (or whatever your process is) and he was 30 min away. So at 6pm he shows up. He fixed my door but I am not convinced he oiled everything as I asked. All the hinges on the door panels still squeak and it seems pretty noisy when opening/closing considering it was just repaired. I will say the tech was very nice and apologetic and gave me a discount for the miscommunication.

Our garage door was not working properly. It came down on the back of my van as I was backing out one morning. This caused the bottom seal to slightly break. I called Precision the next morning and 4 hours later, Garrett R. came to fix my garage door. Garrett was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable and able to fix my garage door in a timely manner. He also gave me great tips on how to keep my garage door running smoothly! I will definitely call Precision again if I need their help in the future!

Wowza! Professional, friendly and timely. I had heard about Precision from a person whom I was sitting next to at a tire shop. Months later, when I needed to have a loud noise corrected after dinged my door when I bumped into it with my car, Precision was there to the rescue. James straightened the door panel out and did a general service on my door. He also put in new rollers, which have ball bearings in them that allows for less stress on the door and engine. I highly recommend James W. and Precision. Reasonably priced and great quality work!

Mario and his colleague did a great job explaining the problems with my old non-functioning door opener and the options for repair and replacement. They worked efficiently, finished the installation of the new opener and door springs within the estimated time, cleaned up the area, and then walked my wife and me through the installation of the iPhone app and the operation of the new opener. We were very happy with their work!

The garage door spring was busted for which I got an approximate quote on chat before calling in a tech. The quote was around $350 but the actual tech had several different recommendations and came up with a bill of $1200. We asked him to change just the springs and he started the work. When the job was done to our surprise the bill had an additional charge of $125 for knockout bearing. Our garage door never had one and we never agreed on getting one. It was definitely a rip-off. From the beginning to the end the technician just tried his best to convince us to get more and unnecessary work done. Definitely not happy with the service and won't fall for it again.

I used Precision like 10 years ago for some maintenance but then ended up using another company for a new motor a couple of years ago mostly because I forgot who I used previously. Today a spring broke on my huge steal insulated double door. Initially I couldn't get it open even with pulling the emergency lever. It was way too heavy for one person. So I called this other company that installed the motor and told them, "I have an emergency. Can't get the door open". "Sorry they told me. We are booked four days out". Next I called Precision and they sent someone out within 3 hours. In the meantime I went on youtube and figured out how to open a door with a broken spring so I could get my cars out. Garrett from Precision showed up and handled the repair for a reasonable price. Here is the bottom line. If you pick a garage door company for a door, a motor, whatever and they don't have an emergency service setup like Precision has you'll be calling Precision anyway if something goes really wrong and you need same day service. Save yourself the trouble and just go with Precision. Garrett was super nice and an expert at handling everything and Precision cared that I needed service right away. Thanks Precision you guys rock!
